Research data repository

This journal encourages authors to deposit the data obtained from their research in recognized repositories, whether discipline-specific or general. The aim of this policy is to promote the advancement of scientific knowledge and ensure that research can be validated, replicated, and reused in future studies. To achieve this, it is essential that all data used are available without access restrictions.

The selected repository must comply with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and be open access. Authors are recommended to consult the Registry of Research Data Repositories (re3data), noting that each repository has its own deposit guidelines.

Note in the Article

Authors must declare at the time of manuscript submission that the data have been deposited in a repository, providing a clear description of the type of data, the repository name, the URL, the identifier code, and details of the usage and distribution license. This information should be included in the section titled “Data Availability Statement.”

How to Cite

Data must be cited correctly, following a specific citation format, and included in the article’s reference list. This applies to both data generated by the authors and data used from other sources. This process not only ensures the transparency of scientific research but also acknowledges authorship, facilitates usage metrics, and provides indicators of data impact. In addition to the full reference, the citation must include the unique and permanent identifier of the repository where the data are hosted.
