About the Journal

ECiencia is a scientific journal dedicated to original research in the fields of social sciences and humanities. Additionally, we provide critiques and observations on relevant topics within these domains. Our goal is to highlight works that significantly advance knowledge in disciplines such as Administration, Business, Sociology, Psychology, and others. We particularly value contributions that present innovative and significant data, summaries, or ideas for these fields. We accept submissions from diverse sources, provided they are influential in their respective areas or in science as a whole.

Publication Frequency

ECiencia is a digital publication with an online-first model. The journal will be published monthly, with a new issue available each month. Additionally, on an extraordinary basis, ECiencia may propose the publication of special issues when deemed appropriate.

Publication Process in ECiencia Journal

The publication process in ECiencia Journal follows a rigorous and transparent procedure to ensure the quality of published articles. Below, each stage is outlined clearly and concisely:

  1. Manuscript Submission: The author submits their article through the journal’s designated platform, ensuring compliance with the presentation guidelines outlined in the author instructions.
  2. Initial Plagiarism Check: The manuscript undergoes a similarity analysis to detect potential plagiarism. If the similarity index exceeds 20%, the author is notified, and this must be addressed before proceeding.
  3. Blind Peer Review: After passing the plagiarism check, the article is sent to expert reviewers for a double-blind evaluation, ensuring impartiality. Reviewers have three weeks to issue their verdict, which may be:
    • Acceptance without modifications.
    • Acceptance with minor or major revisions.
    • Rejection.
  4. Author Revisions: If revisions are requested, the author receives the reviewers’ feedback and has two weeks to make corrections and resubmit the revised manuscript.
  5. Final Review: The revised manuscript is sent back to the reviewers, who have an additional three weeks to assess the changes and issue a final approval or rejection decision.
  6. Approval and Scheduling: If approved, the article is scheduled for publication in the next available issue, according to the journal’s editorial calendar.
  7. Payment for Publication Services: Before publication, the author must pay the full cost associated with article processing and other related services. Additionally:
    • Upon manuscript submission, the author must pay 50% of the review and publication service fees.
    • This initial payment is non-refundable, even if the article is not approved for publication.
    • The remaining 50% is paid once the article is approved and before publication.
  8. Publication: After the final payment is completed, the article is published in the corresponding issue of the journal, in digital format and, if applicable, in print.

  • Confidentiality: The entire review process is confidential, safeguarding the identities of both authors and reviewers.
  • Editorial Guidelines: Authors are advised to carefully review the journal’s editorial policies and formatting requirements before submitting their manuscript to avoid delays.
  • Communication: The journal will notify the author at each stage of the process via the platform or email, ensuring clear tracking.
